Job Description

The incumbent would be responsible for devising the learning and talent strategy of the respective business unit and leading in the execution of the same. This would include:

Learning & Development
I. Group Learning Agenda
- Driving the Group-level learning agenda within their business in partnership with the central Piramal Learning University (PLU) team with the objective of creating a learning ecosystem that drives business results and promotes individual excellence
- Driving the uptake of the Piramal Leadership Series (PLS) flagship programs within the business through effective contextualization and communication; acting as the bridge between PLS learners from the business & central PLU team for completing the program pre-requisites
- Driving the Leaders as Teachers agenda identifying leaders and subject matter experts to be leveraged as learning mentors and facilitators through this program
- Ensuring participation of the eligible learners from the business in the Group Induction Programs
- Actively engaging with learners to promote self-driven learning through the PLU Virtual Campus
- Contributing towards the planning and design of Group-level learning initiatives by bringing in business insights to make them relevant and aligned to business needs
- Align with the Standard Operating Procedures of the PLU to ensure consistent learner experience and ensure maintenance of quality standards

II. Business-specific Learning Agenda
- Working with the top management of the business to conduct the Learning Need Identification process and create the short-term and long-term learning strategy closely linked to business priorities
- Organizing and facilitating the Business Academy Learning Council or the Business Learning Council, as appropriate
- Creating and executing the functional / technical learning framework for the business as per the Group level Academy framework
- Developing learning interventions and workshop content in partnership with Central PLU team / functional SME as appropriate & facilitate ILT workshops
- Designing and executing initiatives that embed a strong culture of learning within the business
- Tracking and evaluating of impact and reporting of learning metrics to key business stakeholders and to the central PLU team
- Leveraging the available learning technology (PLU Virtual Campus) to drive the business learning agenda
- Creating and executing a strategy to enhance the learning maturity of the business as a lever to achieve business goals
Other Responsibilities:
- Provide inputs for the development of HR strategy of the business and the Learning Strategy of the Group
- Develop a mechanism to track and monitor impact of Learning interventions in the business and YOY improvement on identified / key learning and talent metrics
- Track and monitor progress against Learning models and propose ways of improving on the same
- Keep oneself updated on new thinking / practices in the area of learning and talent and propose / implement leading practices to improve overall effectiveness of the function
